PLAY DEAD
This project was an animation I worked on during the Fall of 2023. I was really happy with how this turned out when I created this animation. One of the hardest pieces that I couldn't figure out was the fall for the animation. It kept feeling weird and the arcs wouldn't work in a way I liked. It never really got to a point I like but I needed to work on other projects.
ITERATION 199
The last iteration I worked on for this project is iteration 199. This is a general stopping place for this animation. I am not really happy with how it turned out. There are some small things I could do to improve this animation if I wanted to such as adding any finger animation and working the facial animation as it is kind of a mess at the moment. I still never ended up like the way that he throws himself onto the bench.
ITERATION 183
This iteration is number 183. This is a big change as I completely changed a bunch of the poses and I basically redid most of the animation. There is a big jump to my blocking as my exports keep getting corrupted when I export them. After uploading this video to this website, I noticed that I render with the film gate on which I have stopped doing since and I also noticed that I didn't work with any of the textures until this point. I think that the hand motions in the very last section of this iteration is effective but the rest of the animation feels clunky and not real.
ITERATION 31
This iteration is number 31 for this one. This is a super simple splined "blocking" type of pre animation. This one has no camera movements and it is not impactful at all. This changed a ton to create the animation I ended with.
