This is the first week that we have started to work on our production project for our Senior Capstone project! We were put into groups to develop our ideas and concepts for our projects and I am working with Brianna, myself, Gisselle, Han, and Olivia. We are thinking of creating a romance story in a world of witches and wizards and this is what the story looks like so far:
Once Upon a Time:
There was a newly graduated witch who opens her very own Apothecary
And every day:
She makes new potions and salves bringing in more and more customers
Until one day:
A gentleman comes in to her shop and she is interested in his non - witchy humble background/demeanor
Because of that:
He keeps coming back to the shop for (very necessary) “Healing stuff” just to get to know this girl better
Because of that:
They develop feelings for one another as they routinely meet in the apothecary
Suddenly….
The man stops showing up and the witch begins to wonder where he is
Until one day:
The witch receives a house call to a famous wizards tower where she discovers the patient is object of her attraction who had disappeared
She is able to heal him, boosting her business and status as a healer
And ever since that day:
He picks her up after work every day to return to their tower

We also created a logline for the film which is just a few sentances that describes the plot. These are typically the descriptions that you would see under a Netflix film when you are browsing and can't decide what to watch. Our logline sounds like:
"After years of hard work, a newly graduated witch opens her own apothecary where she meets the man who shows her the importance of compassion."
I really like the idea and the initial concept of this story so far and I think that working on it would be really fun as many of the aspects that we talked about such as the use of triangles and other simple shapes couold make a really interesting look to a short film.
