This is the week after the 24 Hour Animation Challenge ended and there is still some tension and emotion coming from the project last week. I think that everyone in our team had high expectations and they weren't necessarily met at the end of the 24 hours. I think that our team still did a great job, even with the circumstances that we were given. I certainly learned a ton about leadership and preparation for such a big event, and I am really glad that I was given the chance to participate in this challenge.

I am still working on adding bottles to the interior apothecary and making sure that the set looks final. I am also working on some of the layout prep such as adding cameras, the correct resolution for our film, and our set to each shot's layout file. After our conversation today with Olivia about figuring out how we can optimize our workflow and pipeline, I am excited to implement our changes and create documentation to limit the challenges and issues we will run into during this project.

We also started working on our polish pass for our main character. This will be able to get some new eyes onto our character so we can get closer to a final version of our main character. I am super excited and we have some small things to update like the geometry on the boots, the eyelashes and the eyes. Above are some of the updates we have lined up for our character model.

Today I finally started to get a basic proxy rig going so we can start clothing simulations and some basic layout, even if it means that the rig doesn't really work. I am not focused on getting perfect weight painting as the model will change and this will be a waste of time if I spend too much time focusing on the skinning of the model.
Also, I am excited to announce that I will be going to Lightbox 2024 in Pasadena this year. I am super excited for all of the talented people I will meet along with all of the amazing speakers and presentations.
