The Apothecary Week 12 - Simplify the Story

Dated: 26 April 2024

This week was mainly focused on getting the story to a position that the entire team is happy with so we can start moving forward with other production pipeline steps. We have our animatic completed which is super exciting. Most of the editing and revisions for the story will be small revisions for clarity and for cinematic clarity. I have linked our animatic below if you would like to see the most up to date version of our story as of April 26th 2024.

Most of the group has been working on creating the layout shots for our production which is amazing. I will have some of their work linked below as this is becoming a fairly important part of the production pipeline.

While the rest of the Apothecary group has been working on creating the layout for our film, I have been working on creating the technical spreadsheet stuff that needs to be done. So far, I have almost finished a pretty up to date representation of what our shot list needs to look like. I have a screenshot of it linked below. I am pretty happy with how this is turning out and I hope the rest of my team finds this resource to be useful and helpful.

Looking towards the future, we have one last production pass next week and then we have summer break. I am really excited for summer to start as I will be able to work on the production in a more committed manner. I won't have other classes to bug me which is important.

Our group has decided that it isn't mandatory to work on anything throughout summer break but we are encouraging group members to be productive if they have any spare time. I know that I will for sure work on some of the production items throughout summer break. I am excited for next week!
