We are finally back from summer break and I am super excited to be working on our Senior Thesis again with the Apothecary group! Our group decided that it wasn't mandatory, but recommended to work on the project over summer. Minh worked on the modelling of the interior of the Apothecary. Olivia was working on the UVs of the models. Gisselle was working on the character model throughout the summer and we are almost ready to rig our main character, Basil. I personally didn't make much progress throughout the summer other than updating the spreadsheet including our Shot List & Asset List. I have also been experimenting with Marvelous Designer so we can simulate the dress that Basil will be wearing. This will also mean that I need to create scale controls for the lower body on the rig when Gisselle finishes the character model.

The above photo is a picture of our shot list and we have a description of every shot, along with a frame count, including the start and end frames. We also have a priority list with the importance level of each shot. I am still working on the time estimations for each step of the production pipeline. We are also including the artist and status for each step of the production pipeline for each individual shot. I am hoping to add a percentage bar on how complete our project is and I am happy with how this shot list is turning out.

I believe that our group is in a fairly good spot in terms of finishing the project by our May deadline. We have a small section of our schedule above with each individual and the tasks that they are to complete by our weekly check-in on Tuesday. We have large timeline completion tasks in red along the bottom of the schedule such as expected model completion date by next week.

Attached above is an example of our asset list. This is working very well as everyone is using it and assigning themselves work. We also have an artist sign off, time estimate and status similarly to the shot list. This list is much more complete and it helps us understand what we still need to model, texture, etc.
Once Gisselle finishes the rig for our main character, Basil, I will work on creating a rig for our main character. I am planning on making the rig from scratch so I can have complete control over the way our character moves and interacts with the world.
I still don't have access to Marvelous Designer due to licensing issues. I had a conversation with Bob today who has been communicating with Marvelous Designer. Recently, Marvelous Designer was purchased by CLO Virtual Fashion so our licensing got weird but I should have access by Monday, September 9th.
